What is NTAP?
The New Technology Add-on Payment (NTAP) is a special Medicare reimbursement program that ensures patients 65 and older have timely access to breakthrough technologies before Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) are updated. NTAP provides additional payment in the hospital inpatient setting when new technologies, like the MY01 Continuous Compartmental Pressure Monitor, are used.
What is TPT?
The Transitional Pass-Through (TPT) Payment is a complementary program for the hospital outpatient and ambulatory surgical center (ASC) settings. TPT provides incremental reimbursement to facilities when the cost of a device exceeds the standard Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) rate, ensuring early acces to innovative technologies while CMS gathers cost data for future rate adjustments.
Why It Matters

For Hospitals & Surgeons
NTAP and TPT together reduce the financial burden of adopting MY01 by providing additional reimbursement in both inpatient and outpatient cases.

For Patients
Medicare beneficiaries gain faster access to continuous compartmental pressure monitoring, supporting earlier diagnosis of compartment syndrome and improved outcomes.
